Points Plus Friendly Chicken Strips...

Found a recipe on Weight Watchers on line and decided to try it , I changed it up a wee bit by adding hot sauce instead the WW recommended mustard. And used Italian bread crumbs instead of plain...

Here's what you need:

2 boneless skinless chicken breast pounded flat and sliced into strips
1 cup low fat butter milk
5 shakes of hot sauce
1 cup Italian breadcrumbs ( or plain if you prefer)

What to do:

Preheat oven to 450ºF. Place a large baking sheet in the oven to preheat.
In a shallow dish, whisk together hot sauce and buttermilk. Place bread crumbs in a separate dish. Add chicken to buttermilk mixture, let sit in fridge for about 1 hr.

Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge into the breadcrumbs to coat.

Remove the hot baking sheet from oven and coat with cooking spray. Place chicken on baking sheet and bake 6 minutes; flip and bake until golden brown and cooked through, about 6 minutes more. This is the perfect amount of time.. The chicken turns out so tender....

For 3 chicken strips your looking at 5 points. And so worth it compared to the other chicken strips you get at the fast food places cooked in oil...

The strips are yummy and crispy and the recipe worked out great. And the little guy liked them too...

  7. All the recipes I post now are Points Plus. This recipe is actually from the Weight Watchers site I just changed the flavour a smidge. :)
